MEET RILEY HART

Riley Hart is the multi-instrumentalist of 18 GEARS. Raised near Columbia, Tennessee, she learned traditional fiddle music at an early age before expanding into piano, keyboards, mandolin, and harmony singing.Riley met the band when she was invited to add fiddle to one recording. Greg quickly realized that limiting her to one instrument would leave much of her talent unused. She returned for another song on keyboards, added harmony vocals, and soon became the final member of the permanent lineup. Her versatility allows every song to have its own personality. She can bring traditional fiddle to a backroad anthem, piano to a heartfelt ballad, organ to a song of faith, or understated keyboard textures to a modern country arrangement. Her mandolin playing adds another layer to the band's traditional country and bluegrass influences. Thoughtful and creative, Riley is often the member who hears the small musical detail that helps finish a song.
